Welcome
I am currently studying rapid evolution in plants. My work focuses on understanding how environmental stressors influence plants at the molecular and genomic level, and how these short-term changes ultimately cascade into long-term evolutionary patterns.
Evolutionary theory reveals something remarkable: events that happen over a single season—how plants respond to stress, how they interact with their environment, can shape the trajectory of life.
To tackle these questions, I combine field studies with genomic analysis. This integrative approach allows me to study molecular differences related to stress and adaptation, to ultimately understand how plants change and respond to their environment.
What drives this work is recognizing that plants are not passive—they actively respond to and shape their environment.
